We left the urbanised valleys of Lancashire and headed high onto the moors, with views of Manchester, Dove Stone and Greenfield reservoirs. We also made for the obelisk at the top, which commemorates Saddleworth’s losses in the two World Wars. Close to the obelisk is the ‘Pots and Pans stone’, which features natural circular cavities that look like cooking utensils!
It was great being reunited with the team again, doing what we love and getting outdoors together! 🌿
